Google can never understand my accent anyway ...
Hey Cortana can I wipe my voice searches like I wipe my Youtube Searches.
Still havent figured out why we need Siri, Cortana, Google, etc.
It doesnt surprise me at all that they are storing everything. The more this stuff happens the more I go silent in the digital world (at least in a way that is traceable).
Same reason we don't "need" a lot of things. It's useful, but not essential. I only use it for my watch though...
I have to confess, I actually like Cortana. I wouldn't use it, neither Windows 10, but seeing a few YouTube videos on the subject always makes me smile. She's actually pretty smart, way smarter than that Google voice thingie.
I went to to Google and checked my history, and there were only a few searches saved from about a week ago when I started using a new phone, and I deleted them. I don't use voice searches much anyway, but maybe I had changed the settings on my old phone to stop it saving my searches.
I would rather my occasional voice searches were not saved. But, on the other hand, there's nothing of interest to anyone else.
@amarildojr I'm interested in trying Cortana when it is officialy released for Australia. Currently, it requires chaning the region in Windows to USA, or downloading a recent preview build of Windows. At the moment, I don't feel like doing either.
Well, recording everything I say is no different to what happens at home anyway....
Its the same with location history. You can see the route you have traveled on a map and search by date.
Cortana is coming in the November Updates for Threshold 2 and its already available for Australia in the latest insider preview Build 10565.
If I ask Cortana about the wrong question for instance about the microprintinting on the dollar bill I might have a visit from the police or how many types of auto fraud there are.
