    Simply adding more time to the approval process doesn't seem to get Google there - what use will be made of this time to 'thoroughly review?' Are they adding different sorts of forensics examination to submitted apps? Requiring review by secondary investigators? Unless we know what changes in the approval process itself, this doesn't necessarily equate to greater security in google store apps.

    It takes up to 7 days (or even longer in "exceptional cases") and only new developers and "certain apps" are affected:
