Google issues security update for Chrome 8

    Unlike Firefox updates, the Chrome updates don't indicate the size of the update. This one, from the immediately preceding version to the latest, took ~24 MB.

    That's about the size of Chrome entirely, or the installer anyway.

    Yes! I've been moaning on about this but ... no clarity so far. At the end, an "unzipping" utility is also invoked so it's ~ 25 MB compressed!

    Some updates are a reasonable 4-5 MB.
