Google faces deluge of requests to wipe details from search index

    Well, I have no insight about what they think. But, having watched the development of the Web and technology for finding sites (crawling, analyzing and indexing, humongous distributed databases, search algorithms, and so on) I'd say that Google has done an outstanding job, and that their market dominance merely reflects their value to users like me. I remember when AltaVista was the best meta-search aggregator, and how much better Google performed even from the start. So the EU can just go pound sand, for all I care.

    Censoring search is profoundly repugnant, whoever is trying to do it.
