For the first time, I got a notification informing me of "non-Google" apps having "permission" to access my email account. I opened it and discovered that Softonic, from whom I'd sampled one solitary software a few weeks ago, had somehow finagled pretty advanced access to my gmail. How, I don't know, not paying attention I guess. I have the delusion I'm the strongest link in the user-computer chain. This one slipped right through. So, yeah, I'm reluctantly grateful for Google's effort on my behalf in this context. :cautious:
