Gmail notifiers

i was thinking about installing one of those Gmail notifiers, there's Gmail Notifier by google and GTray which have been talked about on the forum before and i found these two too. has anyone used them?

there's also this one Gmail API which uses .NET

which notifier is best out of all of them? or if you haven't used them all is there one you think is very good and can recommend? thanks

 

i just found this page that has all of these too. i don't have .NET installed, but from the link above - http://johnvey.com/features/gmailapi/ i can use all the ones that don't have .NET next to them, that's correct?

there's also GNotify, but i can't get to it, it's either down, or in my hosts file. i just checked my hosts and it's not there so it must be down.

GmailXP - I can't login at all. Keeps saying incorrect login.

 

thanks Ron and LokiLoki i'd like one that's a standalone, non install, if possible i still have a rule in my FW that's blocking Thunderbird from working. i'm going to have a quick look at the rules right now.
