GMail New 'Compose' View?

Yes, but that then takes another click of the mouse (less quick often with a touchpad) & the tab/window has to open.

I fail to see how this is less simple than the original method. Which takes me back to my original statement. It seems to me that Google are trying to reinvent the wheel.

 

Now this what I call a big positive change, I always liked this feature of Outlook. It's good to know, thanks.

 

I find it useful to have access to my inbox while composing an e-mail.

 

I reckon it is going to be a 'swings & roundabouts' thing.
