Just what we needed, a spyware / PUP inflating company to take ownership of one of the best tech sites!
I like ghacks. I am a regular visitor. Unfortunately, Softonic does not have a good reputation (as well as bloat, spyware and PUPs, they have spread a few viruses in their time). I hope that I will not have to log into the Softonic website to get to the ghack tech blog. If it remains separate, I'll continue to visit.
Why is the comment section of that article filled with what seems spam? edit: It appears to be only on the mobile version.
Adguard isn't showing all THAT many blocks with Edge.old but that could change at any time. I'm very disappointed in this development, maybe the site needed a white knight and got sort of a grey-ish one instead. Money for ghacks and a shot in the arm reputation-wise for Softonic. Nevertheless, I'll keep dropping in now and then because it's a gem of a site. Hope it stays that way.
