Tried True Image and had bad results. Tried deleting it but it left many entries in my registry, some of which I cannot seem to remove. Every time I try I get a message that it cannot be removed. How does one clean this stuff from the registry. Tried contacting Acronis but as usual there was no reply.

What do you mean you tried deleting it? Are you talking about something other than Add/Remove programs and then rebooting?

Yup - just deleting any application is a really bad idea. You should always use the add/remove menu or built in uninstallers. My installation of True Image has an uninstaller which is easily found in the start menu/acronis.

No, he means Deleting registry keys associated with Acronis, or True Image.
I tried this and discovered that some keys are not removable once set. Probably have to boot into safe mode to remove some keys.

Get a copy of RegSeeker and use its search feature for 'Acronis'.

Even after an uninstall, TI7 and 8 left a ton of settings.
