Technical support and the ability to sandbox applications automatically, although you can add them manually to the free version. Its a sandbox, after all! :isay:

IMO the lack of auto-termination of malicious processes in the free version results in a much less secure pc. Don't get me wrong, I like the product (in fact, I bought a pro license) but depending on the price, I think the pro version is worth it.

Sadly not IMHO, if you compare the price to other sandboxing applications; DefenseWall/Sandboxie.

Agreed. When you compare the price/support of DW and GW then DW would obviously be the right choice. I got a discount on my GW license so I went with that. I was merly comparing the free/paid versions of GW.

    Could you elaborate on this?

I may be interested in purchasing a license depending on the size of the discount.

No, not at all. It doesn,t decrease security in any way as malicious process is still fully contained by GesWall.

My two favourite setups at the moment

OA beta 3.1 free Dutch- Avast Dutch with only standard shield to check at writes - GeSWall (I have got Pro, but free will do in this setup)

ThreatFire free - Avira beta 9 (only check at write also, heuristics high) - DefenseWall Paid

    Cheers

Make sure your P2P has full write access to both shared directories and the incomplete directories.

Kill all downloads, to be sure you are not trying to update part of a file which was downloaded before GeSWall installed (first bit will have trusted status, which can't be changed by untrusted, when second bit arrives uTorrent is marked as untrusted/as its source, so GW won't allow change of first bit).

Oftens save as with a different name will help in these circumstances

    Regards Kees
