    Hi

I'm thinking about buying the pro version. Does the pro version expire like the free one? Do you have to un-install/re-install for the pro version? Sorry if this has been asked before.

    thanks

IceCube, 3 months ago I purchased a pro license and to be honest I eventually removed it from my machine. I'll bet Trjam's next AV that you'll do the same. What I didn't like about it, was the fact that I had to disable Vista's UAC to install it AND to use it's more advanced features. The fact that I had to disable UAC to use the damn thing properly turned me off.

    My 2 cents...

Just to install it, not to use.

BTW I isntalled it on vista by running it via cmd.exe as Admin, without disabling UAC. No problems.

It will expire in 80 years or so. As far as I know, no uninstall/ reinstall needed unless u upgrade to a new version.

But its development is not so active now. Not sure about its future.

I disagree. Their own forum has been pretty busy of late, and I still think we may see some movement before the first of the year.;)

thanks for the update! I really like this software, not much user intervention and good protection. Coupled with CIS, this has become my new Golden Bullet. :D

I like it much and will be happy to see that it does not die. Hope so.

Well you can't disable GesWall from the tray context menu unless UAC is disabled. If UAC isnt disabled it shows a greyed out disable option.

And why should anyone have to install a windows Vista compatible security app from the cmd.exe (to get around the UAC issue)? Sounds cheesy to me.

I totally agree with you. They need more work on it really.

I was just describing a workaround for install.
