Yup,it was set to expire for me last year and it renewed itself.I'm assuming it'll work the same way this year as well.

As i remember last year, some people wrote to them and they uploaded new installers. Not sure this time they are still around or not.

BTW I did not know if licence can be extended automaticaly without a re-install.

If I remember correctly, when they first released the new 2.91 version, some people had issues downloading it,and they got it corrected. But as far as anything else,Geswall licence renewed itself,as I never re-downloaded it,etc.

I started using this software about 2 or 3 years ago and would have bought a license but was worried about the vacant forum they have. It seems they kind of given up development over the last few years. It's a shame really.

Why does GesWall even have a date to expire anyway?

Not sure but its always been that way for public License. If memory serves,If its not renewed by that date it stops working.I dont feel confident it will be either.

I can't imagine there is any development going on. The "Released soon!" tag on the 64bit download has been there for a year or more.

In all honesty,I would've dropped GeSwall a long time ago,if it wasnt such a easy to use program and so powerful at the same time.

The lack of support and the constant guessing on whats going on,is really starting to get old.If they do not renew it,I'll drop it like a bad habit and NEVER use it again, period.

Ditto. On 32bit machines Geswall and a good anti-virus/malware is a lightweight and effective security solution.

That is why I quit using it and moved to DefenseWall. It's a shame because it was a good program but the developers just don't seem interested in it anymore. Even though I don't use it anymore I was wondering myself what would happen when the expiration date came.

Its too bad that someone doesn't come along and offer to take the rights and code off their hands. At least that way someone can continue the development of a once great product.
