I cant stand not having some sort of sandbox for 64 bit. It just gets my goat that someone can not do it. This is a perfect example how if Artificial Dynamics had continued to enhance SafeSpace that it would still be a winner. I really miss not having it continued.

Tidy is still around. I talked to him a couple of months ago. Maybe this will change one day. He should talk to Mel at Prevx. Would that not be a killer combo. At least Geswall will be ready later this year.

Please enlighten - what interesting improvement/s do we have to look forward to. I understand there is to be outbound protection, anything else?

    AGree,

They made SafeSape and alternative for both Sandboxie and Returnil and had a GeSWall equivalent setup testing, just waiting for some DRM issues to sort out (I know won't mention the only HIPS/Sandbox which deals with that out of the box).

Imagine depending on the mode you would choose, you had GeSWall, SandBoxie or Returnil at hand :'(

Kees... sorry, I am unable to understand you. Are you giving some news or just a comment?

    Thanks

No, TidyUp had given me a config setup which made it function more like GeSWall, like SRP has a deny, LUA or full allow, you could set it up like Returnil (all changes to C visualised), Sandboxie (Selected aps visualised) and a new implementation which looked like a combo of SBIE's permanent sandboxes and temporary Sanndboxes (where data is thrown away after SBI clearance), only SafeSpaces implementation was much easier to use.

    Regards

the one I know or am concerned with is 64 bit.

And for those who still use 32 bit, SafeSpace is still out there. Tidy left it for all. here It is one hell of a product.:thumb:

Also, it was one of the few that passed Peters tests to.

Safe space is still available, why don't you try it. You will problably have a more eductated view on SafeSpace's capabilities than stated abpve. :D

    NB:
I would work on your SBIE praise song: when unique is defined by start run-deny/access to internet and virtualisation, then GeSWall qualifies for all :D It even has two modes to allow access to the internet: for sandboxed apps and also for trusted (unsandbox) aps. For running or denying it has even 4 modes to run (on a sliding scale from deny to allowing from less to more).

    YO Kees1958 mate

how can u even compare SB to this beta crap called Geswall??

man u have to know geswall is totally beta behavior software compare to SB
go read SB manual and see the power behind SB and the helplessness behind Geswall :D

btw geswall update once a year hehe what a stupid approach , while SB even twice a week! (10x to tzuk!)

and yes u can add all ssj100 claim to all of this ;) GO GO SB :thumb:

You really can't go wrong with any of the three. GeSWall, SBIE and SafeSpace. I had 2 problems with SS. 1. My Synaptics scroll didn't work with any browser I used. 2. For some reason it had a problem with my BF2 CD. When I started BF2 the game would freeze. Unfortunaly, this is one of my favorite games so I had to take SS off. However, Tidy tried to get it to work at the end but still no solution.

SS and GW are quite good with Sandboxie being in a league of it's own in being able to safely execute any malware samples and harvesting the droppers. :thumb:

    SSJ demoneye,

It is okay that you are happy with SBIE, I also think it is excellent software. I enjoy your responses, they remind me of some of the best Monty Pyton sketches.

Why don't you start a ministry of silly sandboxes, or form the Nights of SBIE- NI.

I think Trjam porinted to SafeSpace, no need to start parroting on SBIE, because SafeSpace is a parrot which has gone to meet his makers, it is a late parrot, it is no more, that is why Trjam is talking about with regret I gather.

Franklin likes to harvest droppings of the worst kind. Well everyone is entitled to his own oddity I guess. He obviously needs a sandbox for this to save his unpatched exploitable OS. He definitely qualifies as a clan member of the Knights of SBIE-NI
