    Thank you for that information.
Perhaps it could be related to IE, or even specificly to Vista with IE9.
I should have thought about that.
I sent G Data Support an addition with that information.

Users report the same bug on Rokop, with some encountering it even without the keylogger protection and/or when using other software like Word or even FF.

Yes, in your previous post you said that you use Firefox,
that's why it came to mind that me using IE9 could be a factor in the issue that I found with G Data keylogger protection and quotation marks.

Regarding the issue that one cannot type quotation marks using the computer's keyboard?
    Interesting.
    At Rokop-Security.de?
Could you pinpoint which thread(s) and which posts, please?
    Thanks.

Actually, not exactly the same, but very similar.

    Thread: http://translate.google.com.tr/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=tr&ie=UTF-8&u=http://www.rokop-security.de/index.php?showtopic=23482&edit-text=&act=url

    Posts: Page 28; # 544, # 546 (without anti-keylogging), # 547 (a similar problem), # 548 (at least partly), # 550.

As much as I dislike it and what it stands for, I hope it gets back on track, which will mean one more good option. But by learning to develop new things rather than license almost all of them the way they used to.

Ah, I see what you mean, thanks very much.
I had looked at that BETA G Data Security 2015 thread at Rokop Security, and I had read those posts that you mention, but I hadn't seen a relation with the G Data keylogger protection and quotation marks issue that I found.
But I see what you mean, there is some similarity. I'm not sure if the cause of those issues is the same, though.
Anyhow, as soon as G Data Support reports back on the issue that I reported, I will report here in this thread.

I still haven't received any new G Data Support feedback to the keylogger protection and quotation marks issue that I reported to G Data Support on April 7.
However, in the possibly related case at Rokop Security, G DATA Dev TS replied (my translation from German to English) "The problems described here regarding missing keystrokes we can understand in connection with the Keylogger Protection. We are working on that."
As I said before, as soon as G Data Support reports back on the issue that I reported, I will report here in this thread.

Good Evening! Thanks for the update on 2015...Stupendous Man! I'm currently using WSA...and they also were initially experiencing problems with the Keylogger component...it's since been fixed and updated...I'm sure G-Data will also eventually provide a fix. Is the Exploit Protection part of Browser Protection or is it used in a different Vector? Also is it running without any page rendering lagging while surfing? Not familiar with the Drupal 7 Framework...that you had referenced. Does it conflict with G-Data 2015. Once again thanks for your update. Sincerely...Securon

Did you mean Exploit Protection or did you mean Keylogger Protection?
In the G Data user interface, Keylogger Protection is under Browser Protection, together with BankGuard.
So I guess that is limited to browser protection.
In the G Data user interface, Exploit Protection is under Realtime Protection, so I guess that may be more than only browser protection but might also protect other applications and processes.

Do you mean Exploit Protection or do you mean Keylogger Protection?
Keylogger Protection I have disabled, but as long as I was using it I experienced no page rendering lagging, only the quotation marks issue in the webform that I mentioned.
Regarding Exploit Protection, I'm not sure, there may be a very slight page rendering lagging, but it is hard to notice. I haven't compared it to using G Data 2015 without Exploit Protection, yet.
If G Data Exploit Protection would be using similar techniques as EMET or as HitmanPro.Alert, for instance, it shouldn't be causing any page rendering lagging, but I don't know what techniques G Data might be using.

    About Drupal, see:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drupal
    https://drupal.org/
I don't use Drupal myself, but it is used as framework for certain websites.
I don't think it conflicts with G Data 2015, except for the quotation marks issue in the Drupal based website webform that I mentioned related to the G Data 2015 Keylogger Protection. But as shown in the thread at Rokop Security, there seem to be more issues with the G Data 2015 Keylogger Protection.

Er.. no, that is not what I said.
I didn't say that Exploit Protection was integrated with BankGuard.
    I said:
And also, Keylogger Protection is not integrated with BankGuard, both components are just in the same section of the G Data user interface, Web Protection, Browser Protection. That's not the same as an integration, of course.

    Hi Securon.
You can wait for a couple of months, of course, but you are also free to upgrade or buy right now, through the German website, as I mentioned on April 6.
If you are G Data customer already, you can login at the German website, UpgradeCenter, and download the installation program ("Weitere Möglichkeiten -> Installationsdatei herunterladen") and get the 2015 version. Or if you are a new customer and you want the new G Data 2015 now, you can buy it via the German site.
As shown in Macstorm's screen capture the installation program supports multiple languages. You can choose English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, or Polish language.
You can wait for a couple of months, or you can get it right now.

One small bug to note with the keylogger protection is having the Firefox window open and then bring an IM client such as pidgin above it, when you type there are no keystrokes, I think GDATA thing your trying to log in another window or something. Just another small bug I noticed. I have to minimize Firefox before using pidgin or else there will be no keystrokes.

    Hi Taliscicero.
This looks as to be related to the issue concerning G Data 2015 and Skype that was described in the Rokop Security G Data 2015 thread, post 544 and further, to which G DATA Dev TS replied (my translation from German to English) "The problems described here regarding missing keystrokes we can understand in connection with the Keylogger Protection. We are working on that."
Nevertheless, I think it would be helpful if you would report the issue to G Data Support, if you haven't done so already.
    Thanks very much for reporting.

    Thank you very much, Ford.
I wonder if I will get the same advice from G Data Support.
If so, I think I will pass, keep G Data keylogger protection disabled for now, and wait for the update to the next program build, in a little while.
I can do without G Data's keylogger protection, and I am not too keen on using G Data's Change Files tool if it's not an absolute necessity.
Nevertheless, thank you very much for pointing out that post at Rokop Security.

    Yesterday, April 15,
Upon closer inspection, I think there is no page rendering lagging, page rendering may be better even.
I noticed with How-To Geek articles pages. Before, there was quite some lagging with image rendering on How-To Geek articles pages, but now that is much better. Is it something that is improved with G Data 2015, or is it something that is improved with a recent build of HitmanPro.Alert that I use, or is it because of some change in the How-To Geek pages itself? I don't know, but page rendering does not seem worse to me, it seems to be better.

Just applied this patch "3" and its fixed all of the problems, I also tested with key-logging software again and the key-logger protection remains working and consistent, with all the bugs fixed.

Thank you for testing and reporting, Taliscicero.
If results are the same for other users, like those on Rokop Security forum, I guess this patch will be in the next program build, in a while.

Today, I received G Data Support's feedback regarding the keylogger protection and quotation marks issue.
The same fix using G Data's Change Files tool that Ford Prefect mentioned was offered.
But as I said, yesterday, I can do without G Data's keylogger protection, and I am not too keen on using G Data's Change Files tool if it's not an absolute necessity, so I pass, and I keep G Data keylogger protection disabled for now, and wait for the update to the next program build, in a little while.
I asked G Data Support to please keep me informed about any news regarding the date for the update to the next program build.

    Hi Securon,
    Thanks for reporting.

G Data 2015 is now also available at the Dutch and the French and Austrian and Swiss G Data sites, and perhaps at some other G Data sites too. I hope that the other G Data sites will follow soon.

As I said April 6 and April 15, if you are a G Data customer already, you can login at one of the G Data websites that offer the new version and get the 2015 version.

But if you're a new customer and you want the new G Data 2015, you cannot buy via another site than that for your own county, so I noticed today. That is different from what I thought. The G Data websites only offer sale for the specific countries. If you're a new customer and you want the new G Data 2015 and it is not yet offered in your country, you need to wait, I suppose. I think that's a bit silly.

By the way, I hope G Data will offer a new build, soon, including the fix for the keylogger protection, to prevent that too many users will be confronted with issues related to G Data 2015 keylogger protection.
