    Hello
I successfully freed space on my volume which had originally a single c: partition. :) I want to create 1 or 2 extra partitions on that freed space (for swap file, temp files, etc).

This newly created partition (for data) is still empty. Can I use Windows XP Disk Management for creating additional partitions? And if yes, should I still keep using Disk Director?

Also, what program should I use for defragmenting? Is DD defragmenting utility better than Windows? o_O

    Yes.
That is entirely up to you.
    I have no idea.

    Hello chuckz,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Partition and Disk Managing Software.

Windows XP allows you only to create and delete partitions. Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0 is able to resize, convert, recover partitions. It allows you to manage your hard drive in the way you need. The defragmentation in Acronis Disk Director and in Windows uses the same algorythm so there is no difference.

    Thank you.
