Lucid just completed a lengthy (2/3 mins.) disk check. There is nothing logged in /var/log/fsck/checkfs or in checkroot. Also in Karmic nothing has ever been logged there.
Question: will logging only take place if there are errors found ?

I went through the same process yesterday, no logging here either unless there are errors found.
