Frequency of Full Scans

Out of curiousity, how often do you guys do a full scan on your PC with NOD32 ?

1) once a week
2) once every two weeks
3) 3 weeks
4) a month
5) longer

 

6) Once a day for me.

 

Every saturday morning. I also make NOD run other programs like defrag & Ewido when the regular scan is done.

 

I should mention me as well. On average, once a week

So if you wanna run defrag, it should look something like this:
(C: is the drive, /v will show a dos window so you know it's running)

So if you know a complete scan takes about 10 minutes, you could have NOD run Defrag 15 minutes later.

Once per week for me as well. No point in grinding the hard drive all the time, assuming virus definition updates are done every day and other layered protection is in place.

NOD does a scan every week on Wednesday. For defragentation I use MST defrag and that baby works the entire day on the background to keep the systeem smooth without much impact on the system. MST defrag uses only 2 kB.

 

Get NOD to make the breakfast and the wife to scan the computer

 

Then I'd have a GREAT breakfast and a not so good Computer
