XP Pro, 80GB HDD. Im trying to get unnecessary files off of my system drive. I've found some files that look to be pretty much the same and were obviously put there when the system was installed. Can I safely delete the contents (Not the folder) these?

Thanks for the link ronjor. After posting here I did some searching and just followed the general consensus. These are safe to remove. I just rebooted, manually deleted and no problems. I would have used the link method if I had've seen it first though.

I've used CCleaner for many years. Its a great tool.

hqsec, thanks for that link! I'll definitely run it as there's a few things I haven't done. Lots of helpful tips and info in that page.
