    I disabled the PG free's protection while running the scan. It went through with no warning about failing to flush C: and it found nothing.
    Neither did F-Secure's BlackLight that is free for now too, so I guess I am clean from rootkits.

    Could I still have a kernel level keylogger?

    One can remove Sophos AntiRootkit by deleting the folder C:/SOPHTEMP where the program was unpacked, I think.

    Yes. No installation was required for Sophos Anti-Rootkit.
