Free software to convert wallpaper aspect ratio?

Hi guys!

I am changing monitor from my current 4:3 to 16:9 (damn you HD!). As a result, i 'd rather convert my wallpapers to the new aspect ratio rather than throw them away and search new ones in 16:9.

Is there any free conversion tool out there?

Ok, the program doesn't seem to run on 7x64... Probably because i saw has some dos executables inside.

From further googling, seems that the only way to do that without distortion, is to do manual cropping. Better yet, first resize and then crop to 16:9. IrfanView can do that.
