There are two mail-in rebates, one for $28 and one for $25 that do make it free.

Great deal if you can get BOTH rebates.
$28 rebate is straightforward. Just mail in the form & box top.
$25 rebate requires ORIGINAL page from competitor's manual, or Install Disk (which could be problematic if you've downloaded your AV).

Also fine print states ONE rebate per customer.
Does that mean ONE rebate in total, or ONE of EACH of the rebates?

These rebates can often yield great savings, but sometimes can be trying.
    Caveat Emptor.

And the rebate requires a prior "Internet SEcurity" program, not an AV program.

Note that better rebates are oft available elsewhere.
    I purchased 4 KAV 6 in Nov-Dec 2006 from CompUsa and outpost.com.

KAV/KIS rebates are available almost every week at those two web sites.

Whilst it looks too good to be true, there's usually a catch.

I've been ordering from buy.com for over 7 years and have been very satisifed with 99% of my purchases. As long as you don't need customer service you should ignore their resellerratings. They are a very reputable company and as good as Amazon IMHO.

    All

I don't have any experience with these rebates but are they only available in the US?
    Or in Europe as well

Maybe I will upgrade from AOL AVS to KAV 6. I'm a sucker for rebates.
