Welcome alexei, yeah it seems odd. Let us know what happens when you
uninstall ZA Pro and install F-Secure again. It worked alright with my PIII
500MHz with 256MB SDRAM. Are you using any other programs which
automatically starts up when you boot your computer?

    Hi,

Well it works with the Windows Firewall. Weird! I guess the next step is to try re-installing Zonealarm Pro and see if there's a problem that way round.

The only things firing up automatically on start-up (other than standard Windows services, etc.), are ATI Catalyst (for my graphics card management) and the nVidia NVMixer software for my sound. I've recently reformatted and haven't got round to re-installing all my other apps.

Anyway, I'm happy now that F-Secure is working...according to what I've read, it's one of the best AV applications.

    Thanks for the post!

    Hi Lodore,

Do you notice a slowdown of your system?

yes i think it does slow down the system. but also i have turned off spysweeper 5.0 and it still runs in the background so that could be causing the slow down but im not totally sure. sometimes even when i just delete a file it takes ages.
but i can run music msn and online game with no problems. but even if i close every program it still takes ages to delete files but I dono why. its only background files running. i have run full f-secure scan clean full spysweeper scan clean. but it could be spysweeper 5.0 background process. but sometimes it runs just runs fine.

I don't think so. Anyway the license is for Anti-Virus not Internet Security.
So maybe FSAV but not FSIS.

When I tried to re-install Zonealarm, when F-Secure was already installed, I got a message warning of compatibility issues when running the two together, so I'm sticking with the Windows Firewall.
Hope I don't come to regret that decision!

I've noticed one other issue and maybe somebody out there could try this and let me know what happens...

When I try to hibernate my PC, it starts to go into hibernation, but then stops with the screen blacked out. It doesn't come out of this state, so I have to do a re-set (after half an hour plus). This problem is intermittent.

It could be caused by my Netgear wifi adapter (WPN111), which does sometimes prevent my PC from closing down, but I don't recall ever having a problem putting the machine into hibernation.

That's not expensive as the price is in US$
Same price here in Euro's (including VAT)

And if you go to the German site including a Logitech webcam for free :D
    1 extra license + Euro 10
