Free Antivirus: Real Time Anti-Malware Detection Rates

After getting dissapointed by the latest av-test result by MSE,i read lots of topics in microsoft community about MSE weakness in these kinds of tests.

Some people think this method of testing cannot evaluate the products in the real world.
then I found a suggestion,done by West Coast Lab
Although MSE is not superior there,but the difference is little:

Just too bad the page has never been updated since their May 2011 report.
It makes the scores look a bit off.

 

you mean the result is more than 1 year old??!!!
I thought,just "the review" is for that time

I've tried to contact WestCoast Labs concerning this test several months ago and received no response either.

 

Yeah the underlying data is completely obsolete. That is, it doesn't at all reflect the daily scan results we're getting from WestCoast.
