w/ or w/o the current bugs and flaws? ;)
also kaspersky appeared vulnerable in the past and some isssue were not fixed yet. why discuss about a next gen security issue?

It is pretty much guaranteed it will be, because it is the only promo they have got after they were banned. The future of Avast/AVG/Avira is questionable, since they are owned by Norton, AVs using Bitdefender signatures are also doubtful.

I tried Avira Pro Antivirus 30 day trial. Its indeed very light. However, a day after registering trial version they sent me an email, that they offer 1 year license of Pro version only for 0.95€. Valid for end of this month.
    Kinda strange business model :D

Outdating or not, maybe it still uses the same Avira Cloud and Avira's APC(heuristic engine) that F-Secure uses and pay for it? Or is it Norton/Avira cloud nowadays.

no one knows i guess. for me those 3rd-party av are absolutely no-go for years now. if windows 10 would not rely under circumstances on some av (WD or other) there would be no need for any of this. unluckily, using apps and other parts of windows are tied to defender and co and firewall.

concerning fsecure - contracts may belong to avira if not renewed, but the money is at least norton ;)
i dont like software from symantec or norton as its follower, too intrusive in the past and no gain in comparison to others. any of those may have relevance in an ng gateways (independent device) but not on a pc.

the free versions for android are crippled for nearly all vendors. and they show a lot of ads for the paid version.

Took me a month to learn McAfee Endpoint and how to deploy it to my three-one-lan computers.
On my 2 laptops, tried to run a several malwares (LAN based). What i feeded, my main PC (mcafee endpoint protected) instantly blocked.
It's a hardest EDR software i've ever used, but it's also the best in the business.
