It resolves host name addresses via DNS lookup.
    I.e. you'll see "aisaka.frigolit.net", instead of "144.76.200.2".
    Hmm.. what do you mean?

    Commended = praised formally

@askmark says you should be praised, acclaimed or admired for the portable version.

Creating an installer with a portable version... I thought it was a good idea.

Oh, I messed up it with "commented".
    Thanks to @Mr.X for idea.

Before you ask, what is the app group's "Fragment first TCP packet" option?

It cuts 1-st TCP packet to 2 packets: 1) 3 byte one; 2) rest.
    It works like GoodbyeDPI .

This is great! Just what I need.

    But, but

I would require the program to have a better way to block applications from using the net as and when required. For instance in Glasswire, there is a Fire emblem next to each running process/task that disables internet access to the application. If you click on the Fire icon again it enables internet access to the app.

This is much better from usability perspective to enable/disable internet access to apps rather than manually typing the app path in the Blocked/Allow list. Especially when am playing games I would like to shutdown most of the other processes using internet.

Can you implement such a feature? Maybe include a process monitor and an icon click to block/allow network activity for that process

@jackuars the FW designed for manually typing the app path in the Block/Allow list once in the appropriate group.
Then you can enable/disable internet access for the group by checkbox (even from tray context menu by mouse click or hot key).

So, you can create new "Games" app group and add to it's Allow list "C:\Games\" folder for example.

(OTOH, I've a plan to add easier way to move an app path from/to Block/Allow list in the same group.)

Also you can use # symbol to comment lines in the Block/Allow list.

Looks very interesting but no alerts? Any plans to add notification alerts in future like WFC or simplewall?

    See "Blocked" tab.

So if a program tries and is blocked what is the fastest way to allow it through for now?

How do we uninstall Fort firewall from win10? Thks

  17. tnodir

    tnodir Developer

Launch "Uninstall Fort Firewall" from Start -> Programs -> Fort Firewall.
Or for portable installation - launch "Fort Firewall\driver\scripts\uninstall.bat" as Administrator, then remove "Fort Firewall" folder.

    To tnodir
Both buttons should minimize the window in the system tray. Close the application (Exit) - only from the context menu in the tray.
Bad icon on the desktop and taskbar.

What about notifications about trying to connect?
    C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe or C:/Windows/System32/svchost.exe ? Or both?
