I'm using OS Armor. I set OS armor to block any .bat files for running. It seems that Fort is using BAT files(installing/uninstalling), maybe that is the culprit?
Yes, the "C:\Program Files\Fort Firewall\driver\scripts\*.bat" files are used to (un)install the driver. Thanks for the clarification.

@tnodir I did some tests. I ran VLC media player. Then started VLC update. Fort Firewall popup window alerts that do i want allow VLC to get online. Leave that Fort Firewall popup window open, but VLC still can connect outside. Then i tested Netlimiter(great software btw), it does have a "simple firewall" also known as Blocker. Then ran VLC again, doing update etc. Netlimiter "Blocker" shows allow or not outbound connection etc. But it seems that it actually blocks VLC connecting outside, even i dont click allow or not. Maybe Netlimiter "firewall" sends something like halt or stop to a program while waiting for a user input?
Yes, NetLimiter can pause the connection until allow/block decision. Similar feature (named "Ask to Connect" filter mode) is in Fort's TODO list.

@tnodir Still FF can't stop VLC (for example) connectin outside. VLC like many others softwares can do outbound before FF can reacts. Comodo firewall and Netlimiter "blocker" can do that. Comodo and Netlimiter can just stops all. What is a purpose of a software firewall that cant stop outside connection?

I tried as the following, but still can not reproduce it: - downloaded "vlc-3.0.21-win32.7z" from https://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html - extracted the 7z archive to "D:\Utils\Video\VLC" - run "D:\Utils\Video\VLC\vlc.exe" - leave 2 checkboxes turned on in the opened "Privacy and Network Access Policy" dialog and click Continue - click Help: Check for updates... - Fort Firewall alerted about new "D:\Utils\Video\VLC\vlc.exe" program - clicked Block the VLC program - VLC shown an error message "An error occurred while checking for updates..." Also please check the "Why doesn't Fort Firewall block any programs after installation?".

@tnodir No offense at all, but it's interesting. Comodo firewall and surprisingly Netlimiter "Blocker", which is part of the Netlimiter's "Simply Firewall" can block(set pause) to anything that try connect outside. One example again, i installed Divinity Original Sin game. So it goes basically this way with Fort Firewall, WFC, Simplewall: 1) Run game.exe or some other program that wants to "phone home" 2) game.exe reports no internet connection 3) Fort Firewall reports do you want to game.exe to get online 4) re-run game.exe and now it gets online or blocked While Comodo and Netlimiter "Blocker": 1) Stops all game.exe connections before user approves it. 2) Very fast resolves(without nslookup) the IP, country etc.
@moredhelfinland Yes, Comodo Firewall and NetLimiter can pause new connections until user's decision to allow/block. But others can not pause: Fort Firewall, WFC, Simplewall, TinyWall, Glasswire. They just notify about already blocked or allowed program.
