I disabled UBO to give the new adblocker a try. 1st page ad showed up that UBO blocks. UBO enabled ad disappears. Now I have Vivaldi's enabled as well as UBO & Privacy Badger. Might disable Vivaldi's built in but want to see how it plays with my 2 stalwarts.

Yeah, it's about as good as Opera's adblocker. I'm sticking with UBO.

    Thank you for info, anon.

Can you import filters into it? I have the same tiny setup: uBlock Origin with an extra five imported lists and Privacy Badger. Have not seen an ad or a spurious tracker in a long, long time. Vivaldi runs very nicely so not risking things by enabling the built-in blocker.

You can enable the built-in blocker on a specific or particular site.

First I heard of Nano Adblocker & Nano Defender.
Are people using them in addition to UBO & Privacy Badger or using to replace of one or both?

Perfect, anon. :thumb: OK why beg for any problems? uBlock Origin is very competent on here by itself. Seems redundant to run both concurrently.

Thanks, Daveski! This actually reminded to go to the ad blocker page and make a few adjustments. Liking this browser so far. Might even make it my primary instead of Edge but it's early yet.

I've liked Vivaldi since I first ran it five years ago, I wish they'd be more thorough with Linux updates though. The adblocker might come in useful, who knows? lol

"Beginning with this release, Vivaldi also features an integrated ad blocker that’s supposed to make intrusive ads a thing of the past without the need for other extensions.

What you need to know, however, is that the ad blocker is disabled by default, so you need to manually enable it from the aforementioned path. Furthermore, it only blocks intrusive ads, so if you want a completely clean ad-free experience, ad-blocking extensions are the way to go."

Now it's about 10 days into my dumping FF for Vivaldi full time. Should have done this much sooner.

This browser seems to run ok on linux.I am still on the fence about it being closed source but the company seems trustworthy. My main browser is firefox and gave the red priest a spin and it seems good with many customisations.Gets better with time maybe.
