    Long time ago read in this forum the recommendations to rather grab the patches from the links in the security update bulletins, which i do most of time.
    After i might look on the update site for what might be missing. Fortunately these days you can open there the catalogue of all patches and updates for your system and in your install history you can see if you seem to have them already. Of course they can disappear with crashes and other updates, so hard to tell if they are still there on your system. :)

    A quick look i do with the often mentioned Faber Toys ( www.faberbox.com ) which gives a real quick overview with versions etc and all is over 6.00.2800.xxxx when i look what IE started, so that's ok here.


    PS: maybe it helps for ME and XP to disable system restore till you finish updating/patching, make a new restore point and enable if you really want.
