I had to uninstall ESS, and then I tried to install it again. But that didn't work: installation cancelled after a few minutes... I think I know why: I noticed tah the firewall is still active (Windows Vista reports that the firewall is still on...So my question is: how can I uninstall or stop that firewall (uninstallation of the whole smart security was succesfull), but I can't do a new installation because of that firewall. Thanks for any help.
enter in the administrative tools in control panel, run services. From there choose stop or disable the eset firewall. then try to install ess again. hope it works.
No, it does not work There are two services referring to eset (ekrn and ehhtpsrv), but both have allready the status of stopped...So I still can't install the programm (and change the settings there) and windows (vista) is still reporting that the eset firewall is on... Help...
