Kerio 2.1.5 is the only software firewall I use. It's installed on all my Windows operating systems except for a couple units used for testing. While Kerio controls traffic on the individual PCs, Smoothwall takes care of my home network.

Any poll in which Windows firewall is leading instantly becomes pointless.o_O

Try doing some research before posting meaningless comments.

Either get a sense of humor or stop responding to my posts, you're wasting both of our time.:thumb:

I voted for something else but now that the recent update to Online Armor runs so light/fast, I change my vote. It's Online Armor Premium -- :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

OA++ slowed the system down and made Windows not respond right away. :thumbd:

Comodo Firewall, well it does seem nice for free..

Outpost Pro, playing with it, seems nice but for what Comodo offers for Free, is it really worth it to buy this? Hmm

ZoneAlarm to simplistic, that firewall has never been any good, only newbies who don't know any better seem to like it.

I have been using Privatefirewall for quite some time now and will continue to use it unless I feel the need for others.

Comodo Firewall Free, always went back to it for years. Love its configurability.

Online Armor was just flat annoying, it made my machine feel like it had a virus how slow it became, and that was with XP Pro SP3 x32 using 2 cores @ 2.4ghz, and 3GB ram, uninstalled it and OMG my machine was like new again.

Kaspersky firewall was to confusingly annoying as with Outpost, but haven't tried outpost for some time, so no coments on their newer version.

Windows Firewall is better in windows7 but does not prevent leaks.

Now I use Comodo Internet Security 2011 Free, on Win7 x64 with Advanced settings set to the T, nothing is going to get past it unless I intentionally allow it, ya nothing is bullet proof I know, but its not like im browsing in the darkside or anything lol just like I said "unless I intentionally allow it"

I also use Comodo Internet Security 2011 Free on Win7 x32, and XP Pro SP3, no problems no slowdown, also tested and works perfect alongside Spyshelter, Peerblock, Spybot-SD Resident/Teatimer and Malwarebytes in realtime.

what else can I say Comodo is Perfect for my needs.

I like Zone Alarm for its simplicity. But, I cannot understand why my computer hangs while shutting down. I have to use the Power button. Thinking of changing to Outpost.

    Back to running Private Firewall.
    +Free
    +Its FW+HIPS+AnomalyDetection give strong 3-way coverage
+Personal, friendly, fast support (seldom needed)
    +Feather light & rock stable
+Runs cleanly on all current Win versions, 32-bits & 64-bits
+Gets along nicely with other security programs
+Aggressively maintained -- updated 10X in 2010 thus far, with another substantive update promised in the next few weeks

As for Online Armor -- I'm waiting for the new owners to manifest a bit more updating fervor.
