I am useing Zone alarm ver.4.5 and it seems to be a lot lighter than the ZA 5 ver. It is an efective firewall and is very easy to use.

NetVeda is quite good, has the most extensive controls and yet consumes less resources than Zone Alarm, for old PC, Kerio 2.15, Jetico, NetVeda as well as Filseclab are very good low resource consuming options to consider.
