I think KIS alert you because Blocklist Manager come with various additional tools, how consult IPs through WhoIs, and some others, include in this the AngryIP port scan, if i remember in the same menu where you can choose the lists you want use. but through the installation process you can choose what you wish install, so i think that is no problem at all. If you dont make use of this, simply don't install and all should be OK. Give a try, install without the angryIP port scanner and scan the folder program with KIS and you see all is clean.

    Sorry for my english.

I think you may worry only if it is save in your HD with double extension too, and this is not the case. This app is hosted in softpedia.com and download.com too, places when only trusted softwares are posted, so you don't need worry about this. safe app.

    It is a safe application.
The file that kis alerts is probably the Angry IP Scanner which is included in the application and is open source. (I do not understand why most AVs flag it as malware).

BlockList Manager, Hosts Manager and Protowall are applications of Bluetack Internet Security Solutions a community that focus in internet privacy.

Bluetack Pro Security is their new site where non members can download their lists and software.

Here you can find some info about their various lists http://www.bluetack.co.uk/forums/index.php?autocom=faq&CODE=02&qid=17

    Thanks pandlouk and s23 :)

Yes KIS is just flagging Angry IP Scanner which is an "optional" extra tool you can choose to also be installed during the Blocklist Manager installation.

Angry IP scanner is defintely not malware and it won't be installed unless you make that decision. Antivirus programs often alert to harmless network scanning tools that could be used maliciously if installed by real malware.

That's just the download page's file extension, most sites will either have pages with a .html or .php extension. The page is just showing you the full file name of the file that you can download. It could be .zip.html, or .exe.html..
