    Hi.

In this (old) article you're able to tweak FF to show all tabs opened as thumbnails by changing a couple of about:config keys:
    browser.ctrlTab.previews
    browser.allTabs.previews
the problem is that the second one is no longer. I can add it but there's no button to activate the function.
There's an add-on but I don't like how it works.
    Is there a workaround?

    Thanks.

no way. use showcase or forget it.
a period i had showcase for the sidebar but for now i stick with the tabview button. (imo called "global preview") its the overlay variant instead a new tab.

maybe you have luck and find a greasemonkey script but that requires greasemonkey. some uses userscript collection but that is actually out of my knowledge
