Firefox, Noscript, jerky video playback - Solution

    ofc webextensions can use prefs.js, but they are not able to write (no api present), more to read. so you can set a pref+settings and the concerning extension can read it out. i dont know for noscript but the listed prefs are from legacy and do not have any impact for the webextension if noscript dont read it.

    the simple way to reset a webextension with no reset button: uninstall it, restart firefox, install it again.

    Oh yes, other NS features can still be useful. But last time I checked it was way too confusing. And I believe uBlock is already taking care of quite a lot, especially when it comes to blocking malvertising.

    Hi MrK. I don't think I have ever experienced this jerky issue that you have when watching videos. But FWIW, I always have Hardware acceleration disabled and WebGl disabled in about:config and in NoScript settings (for Default and Trusted websites). By the way, you can forbid WebGl from running with the regular Firefox setting in about:config, look below.
