minwidth is currently buggy, but nice to have concerning auto-width of tabs.

I read somewhere that NoScript in 'Allow' mode still provides additional XSS and Clickjacking protection (on top of uBlock0). That's how / why I still run it.

Would there maybe less of a reason now?

I don't think that the built-in XSS protection in FF is as powerful as the XSS filter in Noscript. On the other hand, in all those years I had been using Noscript I very rarely got an XSS warning. Besides, by using uMatrix any 3rd-party scripts are blocked by default anyhow. Similarly when using uB0 with, at least, medium blocking mode. So I'm not worried at all. Nonetheless, I will probably try Noscript again once it's available as a WE.

Yeah, I do run uB0 in medium blocking mode, but abandoned uMatrix after I switched to this mode. Guess I too will probably retain stalwart NoScript.

    futile, that is default behavior
still causing fake security (like https everywhere)
    tried "tab center redux"?
too bad that "redirect cleaner" is not available for firefox yet, that is incredible effective concerning redirects.
a conversion is working like charm.

Back To Top is a nice one. I initially installed the legacy version, but then noticed the link for the webextension :thumb:

I didn't even know there was an extension for that. I've always just use the 'home' and 'end' keys on my keyboard :D

Yes, and with a double-click you'll even get the bottom of a page. :thumb:

Yeah, the keyboard works too :) One reason I like using the mouse is it guarantees focus. The keyboard keys won't work if the page doesn't have focus and sometimes it's not obvious on a multi-monitor system.

Same developer as FEBE add-on which I shall miss. Anyone know if MozBackup is still working / will still work with FF 57 for profile backup?

I know it is abandonware :( ... anyone know of a WE add-on that will backup profiles? Else one has to manually select, and copy (and zip) it. An add-on is just more convenient.

I noticed you changed your 'Undo Close Tab Button' from this one: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/undo-closed-tabs-revived/?src=ss

Trying Link Cleaner (don't use Google, rather Startpage) and Skip Redirect.

forget it please, it causes problems because there are open files which are not accessible.
create a complete backup when firefox is closed, maybe on windows startup.
next problem - you cannot restore when firefox is running.
i stopped my development due less usage.
that mozbackup was ever buggy was clear, anytime i read that people had trouble after restoring with mozbackup.
using same - it preserves tab history - or firefox currently do.
"tab-saver" or "tab session history" to complete the replacement for "session manager".

latest addition: "history autodelete" (same author as "cookie autodelete") i use similar in Chromium

You've given me an idea, thanks. I will use Bvckup 2 to backup profiles (when FF is closed).

I only backup the profiles before installing a new version. Firefox or Thunderbird is never open when I use Mozbackup. Never had any problems with open files or restoring.

I think it hasn't been mentioned in this thread so far that by setting

    extensions.webextensions.remote = true

in about:config all webextensions are moved to their own process which enhances stability and security of FF even more. I've been using it for a while and haven't noticed any disadvantages. gHacks wrote about it some time ago.

I'm seeing that "true" is the default value in Firefox 56 :thumb:

    +1.

On another note, what is the general suggested optimum 'Content process limit'. Default 1? 2? 4?

Rightly or wrongly, I use 4. No detectable / noticeable issues.
