    Hi Guys,

Any speed up tweaks? Version 2 had "FasterFox" pretty good & then we had GrailKnights tweaks, anything similar for 3?

    Take Care

    Hi Grail,

Thanks for the info! Now I need to refresh my memory regarding user.js & how I applied/changed it in ver 2. I assume all changes can be made manually?

I've also run across (not mentioned @ DSLreports) these speed tip:

    Add to about:config the following:

    nglayout.initialpaint.delay 0 <my default = 50>

network.http.pipelining.firstrequest then set to 'True' <any thoughts on this addition?>

Take Care & Happy 4th to all
    Rico

You can make the changes manually in the user.js to the Fx v3 Tweaks I posted. Restart Fx when done.

This setting I forgot to copy over to my Fx v3 tweaks from Fx v2 Tweaks but it will make a difference.

    nglayout.initialpaint.delay 0

If you change it to 0 the pages will appear to load faster initially but then seems to slow down a bit as all the data renders. I keep my setting at 150. The default is 250.

For slow connections it is recommended to actually go higher then the default but I have no feedback from users that have it set higher.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    This setting: network.http.pipelining.firstrequest

Set to true may or may not help. Pipelining when set to true can cause some sites not to work correctly so just try it and surf your usual sites. If they are working fine then leave the value as true.

If not change it back to false.

Restart Fx any time you make changes to the user.js for them to take effect.

    Happy 4th.

I got the hack about a week ago. I just searched but can't find it. If you search you'll get it. It was on the developers blog I think. It works fine by the way!
