Firefox 18.0.1 is out, just updated via internal update. It's not showing up yet on the Mozilla site, so no change log as of yet.

I don't think there are any real security issues that got patched, so them being out of date isn't a big deal. The Cyberfox forum was already mentioning that this was due before it came out, so the dev will probably get to it soon. Waterfox, eh, I think people are going to get tired of waiting around for it to catch up eventually and move on. Just my opinion.

Waterfox was always a bit slow to update. I don't run it any more.

Actually, there is a new version of Waterfox (18.0) currently being tested, I noticed it on the Waterfox forum. It's not official yet, though, but already obsolete in the scheme of things. It's a pity Mr Alex has issues compiling his builds, I liked Waterfox a lot when I used it.

It did. It looks like they found something wrong there though and fixed it up.

I think Firefox 18 has problems in terms of GPU acceleration. I find Firefox 17 to be faster than Firefox 18 as far as GPU acceleration is concerned.

Thanks for that heads up. Gives me some incentive to rush this update unlike usual, when I let them come to me and/or just wait until patch Tue. to update everything on my box in one fell swoop.

Thanks. I wondered what the changelog was. They seemed to push this one to the updater pretty quickly.
