Thirteen feels good, I thought I was going to dislike smooth scrolling but got use to it after an hour. So, I am liking it, the change that I don't like is the new tab page, got it changed back to the old one.

Firefox is installing a new service along the Firefox install, I uninstalled it.

How did you get rid of the tab page?

    Go to about:config and change "browser.newtab.url " to "about:blank".

I can't say I'm really liking this version so far. Behind the scenes, Mozilla introduced in Firefox 13 many changes to the Live Bookmarks feature, with the performance aspect in mind. The changes are good but the problem is that my favorite extension, LiveClick, needed an almost complete rewrite to adequate with the changes. More info here:

I went one step further and installed TabMixPlus. Under Events>tab closing, I selected blank page in the drop down box and no longer have that icon in the upper right.

Tgell, I am getting the blank page, no icon on the right top side after changing the value for the preference. No need for an addon, you shouldn't need one neither.

You are right. I found out after doing it on another computer. There must be something I tweaked that kept the icon in the corner. Thanks.

Due to a security bug & some problem with Hotmail there may be a 13.0.1 fairly soon.

Is there any way to get the full http address back in the runbar? I liked to be able to easily copy & paste URLs by highlighting with one click.

Another brilliant Mozilla innovation.

Wait, you can still copy full URLs even if it is "trimmed". Firefox will automatically add "http://" before the "www". Or I am getting your idea wrong? o_O

If/when you install FF from the exe file, choose the Custom Installation option. That gives you the ability to say no to the update service installation.

It's difficult with a touchpad to always highlight easily. Usually (like with Maxthon & Chrome) I can highlight with just one click; if you do it skilfully LOL.

I seem to be able to do this again, now I have followed your config tweak. I'm having less luck in SeaMonkey for some reason, where you can actually untrim the URLs in 'Preferences'.

EDIT: After some experimentation with using trimmed & untrimmed URLs I think that it is just a Firefox thing. It used to be much easier to highlight the URL with one click until Fx 13 (the same applies to SeaMonkey 2.10).

I can still highlight the URLs quite easily with a single click in Chrome & Maxthon. It probably isn't so much of an issue with a mouse. I can see me using Chrome & Maxthon a lot more on a laptop in the future.

browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll true in about:config has been there for quite a while.

Tgell, clicking the icon or changing browser.newtabpage.enabled to false will hide the new tab page while still showing the icon.

Daveski17, what value is browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll set to?

Yes, I've noticed this on both Fx & SM. I have a feeling it is something to do with the fact that the URL address is no longer all in a bold type font. Either way, it is glitchy & difficult to easily highlight with a touchpad, it used to be quite easy.

It's set to true on both Firefox & SeaMonkey. Like I said to Vasa1, this is some sort of glitch probably. It didn't seem to affect Fx 12 & SM 2.9 as far as I can recall. I can still easily highlight with a single click on Maxthon 3, Safari, *Opera, Chrome & SRWare Iron.

*Opera even has a similar URL trimming/domain name showing function. It is still comparatively easy to highlight the URL with a single click.

Re. "the URL address is no longer all in a bold type font",
    browser.urlbar.formatting.enabled;false
