I was tired of always having to add UltraSurf to my exceptions list and not feel 100% secure.

They just released Ultra Surf v10.17 and it is no longer flagged as a virus :)

UltraSurf appears to have been moved into the Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs) category.

What does ultra-surf do for you that "tor browser bundle" doesn't do for free?

For free? they are both Free buddy

UltraSurf is 20 times faster than Tor, simple as that

Tor is like browsing on a 56kbps connection

And this thread is not a "Tor vs. UltraSurf" thread.

I just said UltraSurf is no more flagged a thread

I never tried to start a tor vs ultrasurf - I asked a question, because I am not familiar with UltraSurf. A simple "ultrasurf is much faster" would have sufficed.

Either it's a false positive, or there is some use of ultrasurf that ESET deems to be potentially unwanted... and only ESET can say for sure.

One thing you don't have to worry about, even if it's slow - is tor being flagged... if you think the ultrasurf being flagged is a false positive - report it.
