Hi all I'm having some difficulty here.
Had some time up my sleeve today so I thought I'd have another go at trying to get this server up and running with the ESS 3RC1 Vista Ultimate
I am running in interactive mode to allow me to see the pop up messages from the firewall (which I got and allowed). I have set the Filezilla server 0.9.24 to be allowed into the applications list. I have allowed ports 2020-2121 115 989 990 1025-3500 select UDP/TCP allow both and I still get no response from server when trying to connect.

However I have enabled logging and this is what I do get which is strange and I have no idea how to get around this one. See below the copied log file when I try to connect.

24/10/2007 11:07:09 AM Detected DNS cache poisoning attack 192.168.1.1:53 192.168.1.10:55456 UDP

24/10/2007 11:07:03 AM Detected DNS cache poisoning attack 192.168.1.1:53 192.168.1.10:55456 UDP

192.168.1.10 is the machine in my network the server is running on.

There were lots more of these which I have not pasted they all appear to be the same message.

Can anybody help me get this running on my system or does ESS just not like Filezilla for some reason

    TIA

I have added my PC 192.168.1.10 to the trusted zone and I'm no longer getting the Detected DNS cache poisoning attack 192.168.1.1:53 192.168.1.10:55456 UDP message I think so there must be something else I'm missing here

OK I made a general rule to allow ALL ports TCP/UDP both and got a warning message saying "there are too many ports open are you sure" or words to that effect but it is now allowing traffic.
I am wondering if that is a safe thing to do and if not would still like to know what ports to set up to get it working specifically not generally.
    cheers

    Comodo Firewall Pro 3.0.10.238 Beta

I installed this app today to try and it has recognised my File Server and FTP programme no fuss no setting anything up so I think I'll stick with this for a while and just use NOD32 AV with Comodo Firewall Pro 3.0.10.238 Beta for now
