Filesharing over ports 445 and 139

    Hi act8192,

    The change wasn’t meant to go mainstream, there’s a reason why the the rule name starts with ‘Win.’, Linux should share the same dynamic port range... :p

    With that recent release, you can use exclusions and imports features via ForceConfig.ini to have the original rule excluded and import the custom one automatically for upgrades or re-installs. If you need assistance here, let me know.

    Thanks Phant0m. Got it.
    No at this point no help needed. I actually used ExamDiff and see where those ports are coded plus few other things, so no big deal here.

    So, just for me to learn, if a Win7 machine were to try to share files with my XP machine and I allow it, the current, standard, non-customised rule will work even though inbound is from some very high port number? We customised because the other box runs Linux?
