    Hello,

I have File Security installed on two Windows Server 2008 R2 Remote Desktop Services session host servers.
These servers both access a backend buisness application located on another server, which doesn't yet have File Security installed.
Since installing FS on the two RDS servers, the users have complained about application lockups when using the business app.

    My query is as follows:

-Does FS scan files upon access/execution on remote servers, even when FS is not installed on the remote server?
-Is it possible to add UNC paths as exceptions within FS, to prevent on-access scanning of files on remote servers.

It's worth mentioning at this point, that these files are not accessed via a mapped network drive, but via a shortcut to an .exe file on the backend server.

    Thanks

    Matt

As long as scanning of network drives is enabled in the real-time protection setup, files on remote computers are scanned the same way as on local drives. The same applies to exclusions, unc paths are supported.
