What is your favourite Android browser, and why? I'm just curious.

Having Opera across all my devices (PC, tablet, phone) I say Opera Mobile without hesitation. Why? Fast, speed dial, turbo mode etc. and ... because I love it. :-D

I use Dolphin exclusively - it's fast, offers many plugins and is multi-tabbed. I've tried Firefox a few times and it has always felt very slow/heavy.

I'll second Firefox for the reasons elapsed gave, though it's so much slower than Chrome and others, at least on my aging HTC Thunderbolt.

Same here. Although I'm using the ABP app (with root permissions) in combination with Adaway to block ads system-wide.

Thanks for the replies. I like Maxthon myself, but I have just discovered Dolphin. It's definitely a keeper.

I prefer Dolphin, Lastpass works great with it.

Boat browser is by far the best imo.

Right now I'm using Boat browser, and it's significantly faster and useable on my device than others I've tried. Pages load quickly, and the UI picks up the right spot that I'm pressing on my 4.5" phone.

Used to use Maxthon - but got tired of how agonisingly slow it was on my phone and tablet. It would be particularly frustrating when a page would finally load, only for Maxthon to wipe the page blank and start to reload it again. Another issue was the touch detection was poor for the UI buttons.

Puffin has always been fun, but inconsistent. In the past I also used Opera (great UI), but found it was too slow.

Ideally I would use Firefox, so I try it every few months to see if it's getting faster. I'm planning on testing the latest version soon.

I haven't tried Boat yet, I'm sure I'll get around to it. Dolphin seems the most responsive so far, with Chrome not far behind. I haven't had any problems with Maxthon though.

I have several browsers on my phone, I don't use the stock browser at all & I don't use Chrome mobile due to the terrible page rendering on a lot of sites.

I did buy the Pro version of X-Scope which to me is a great browser as it is quick & has quite a few options but most of all it has a quick back function that saves having to reload the previous page, I use Opera mobile instead of Chrome as i find it is quicker & doesn't have the page rendering problems that Chrome has despite them both being based on webkit.

None of them offers anything essential for me over the stock browser (signed in and synced with desktop Chrome), FoolDNS, and LastPass bookmarklet.

The stock browser for me is Chrome. I take it this can vary depending on the device. I really have little experience with droid devices.

OK as I wrote above I like Opera but anyway if I would want to try Dolphin is there any seamless way how to import speed dial entries from Opera to Dolphin? In addition does Dolphin use speed dial and can play Flash and is this a cross-platform browser?

    Thanks & regards.

EDIT: Found answers to all my questions on the Dolphin homepage. :)

Yes, I'm using the WebKit "Internet" browser. I believe Chrome is installed by default only on some of the newer Android devices.

Sleipnir. It's the most intuitive mobile browser I have ever used.

I installed Dolphin but I removed it quite soon after. Significantly slower than Opera, not so sleek, poor sped dial, malfunctioning flash, no PC version. In short I wasn't so impressed but on the positive side I don't need to rely on reviews, I have own experience now :)
