I tried using this from an Ubuntu 11.10 LiveCD. It locked up my memory strangely, anything open was still usable but couldn't create new stuff like download a file or open files. I guess I should run this from an installed setup. :D

I've been trying to figure out how to setup SLIRP. Is it installed on the Guest or Host?

When i searched previously I didn't see this link, got a bunch of old info but nothing helpful.

The only way to have an OS virtulization solution that runs a system safely without drivers, is one that uses pure emulation. That could explain the very slow speeds that some comments mentioned for the FAUmachine article.
