    Fatal crypto flaw in some government-certified smartcards makes forgery a snap (2 pages)

    There are two informative slides on the 1st webpage:
    1) A slide from a recent presentation detailing the 119 primes shared among 103 of the weak cards used in Taiwan's Citizen Digital Certificate program.
    2) A summary of the data flow leading to successful factorizations of the Digital Citizen Card used in Taiwan.

    Not surprising. Glad I don't have a smart card, smart TV, smart phone, smartmeter... ad infinitum ad nauseum o_O

    Any gadgets/devices with the word "smart" in it....:thumbd:
