I just started using FastCopy. I don't think it's correctly installed. On the initial rt click context menu it just says Copy & Delete. How come there's no Cut option? And why do I have to choose the destination directory in the GUI instead of rt clicking on a blank space in a folder/desktop etc instead of choosing Paste which is missing?

a medium value for all known copy programs resulted in: does not matter which one you use (including explorer). some are a bit faster for small files, some a bit faster for bigger files.
the only advantage is that they do not block the current explorer session. so what? then i start another one.
for [another explorer replacement] it has a separate dialog for this and has no impact to further working.

If the above is a response to my two questions. Then it's above my head.

cannot respond all - cut&delete is safer than move, it has the ability to compare (which method ever) target and source - if copy was successful then delete. move like explorer it can happen on several impacts that the copy has failed, and both are gone.

chosing destination, you have not selected a destination when using a single window explorer. with two explorer or split window you have both. thats why i dont use explorer, awful handling - thus i dont need such questionable tools which dont have any advantage for medium usage.

i think you better stick with explorer only copy&paste, or change to a decent replacement. i use directory opus (paid).

I wasn't looking for a File Explorer alternative. I'm only interested in FastCopy as a file moving software.

    How did I forget this.

How do you copy and paste fast?

    1. Utilize Keyboard Shortcuts for Faster File Copying
    1. Press Ctrl + X to cut a file. This moves the file to your clipboard so you can paste it to another location. ...
    2. Use Ctrl + C to copy instead. Copying is like cutting, except the original file remains after you've pasted a copy.
    3. Ctrl + V is the shortcut to paste.
