redwolfe_98, thanks for the reply and advice. Next time I'll be more careful before I delete something. ;)

    From Extra Settings for Nod32:

NOTE: Make sure “QUARANTINE” is ticked with EVERYTHING that is detected BEFORE you DELETE anything that is found.

If you are not sure whether it is safe to delete an infected file, QUARANTINE allows restoration of a file at a later time/date.

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers :D

Actually, I wanted and tried to quarantine the files and NOD32 said I couldn't. I either had to ignore or delete. Quarantine was not an option. I do have quarantine checked also.

Hmmmm interesting, one of the reasons I want it set by default to quarantine everything, and delete quarantine files that exceend say 30 days old. It has been added to Future Changes to Nod32 at the top of the forum.

    Cheers :D

Don't know if this is germane or not, but AMON only allowed the choice to delete on the Spybot Dummies Alexa file, but since I had quarantine checked in the Nod32 Setup, I found the file in the quarantine folder and was able to restore it from there.

A Comment and Question: I remember prior suggestions to Quarantine before Deletions and I "Chk'd" that Box. Rt Clk gives you "Restore" and "Restore to" so I presume that would solve any "fast-on-the-trigger" Deletions; Then, what do you do with Quarantined files after x days/weeks? Thanks!

If files are quarantined , is not possible for the culprit to escape
as today these culprits are disabling all anti virus and spyware programs
    before the attack

Hi Firstshot, is this a question or statement?

The quarantined files are encrypted, so escape should not be possible ;) :D

    Cheers :D
