Fake e-mails

    Hi, I have received what can only be spammer e-mails but they are actually from people who I know.

    Is this a new thing? That they can now spam you from real peoples email adresses?

    Not a new thing. One or more accounts/computers could have been breached by malware allowing for the addresses to be harvested and used for spamming (among other things). Did you let them know so they can investigate?
