Failure VSS

    Hi,

    while Returnil is active, I got some failure advices from Windows that VSS has a problem. I think that means the Volume Shadow Copy Service.

    Does Returnil causes the failure or does Returnil "blocks" the VSS?

    Do anyone know this problem?

    Hi Werderforever,
    Yes, RSS/RVS will block any attempt to create backups or defragment the disk while in Virtual Mode to protect against potential file damage. Simply turn the virtualization off, defragment your HDD, create a backup, and then turn the virtualization back on. This way, when you restore to that snapshot (if required), it is already defragmented.
