im getting this event on my workstation and was curious if i could get some details about what might be causing this.

Logon Failure:
Reason: Unknown user name or bad password
User Name: random_users
Domain: random_workstation
Logon Type: 3
Logon Process: NtLmSsp
Authentication Package: ACRONIS_RELOGON_AUTHENTICATION_PACKAGE
Workstation Name: random_workstation

im wondering why a workstation on the network is trying to access my machine via an acronis protocol.

this workstation doesn't fall under my dept so it certainly shouldnt be connecting to me.
wanted to get some details about what might cause this before i contact the user.

Can you please describe the issue in more details? What is the exact title of the Acronis product?

Have you created any schedule tasks for remote backup?
